SINW presents and educates patients and their families with responsibilities as appropriate to the services provided. Responsibilities include at least the following:
Patients are educated about their responsibilities during their initial visit and as needed thereafter.
The patient’s family or surrogate decision-maker assumes the above responsibility for the patient if the patient has been found by his or her practitioner to be incapable of understanding these responsibilities, has been judged incompetent in accordance with law, or exhibits a communication barrier.

Your first visit will last 2-3 hours. Arrive at least 30 minutes early to allow time complete initial paperwork.

The evaluation will mostly occur in a private, comfortable examination room. The physical assessment will be thorough and will begin by discussing your medical history, onset of the problem, and your lifestyle and work-related habits. Please also know the names of the medications you are currently taking.
The next portion of the exam will include posture and movement assessment, special tests, and palpation of specific structures related to your complaint in an effort to determine the cause of the problem. When applicable, Spine Mouse Medical device may be used in your first or second visit for digital assessment of range of motion limitations (inclinometry study).
After the examination, the physician will discuss your results with you. Further diagnosis may be necessary to determine appropriate treatment.
