Research

Our goal at the Spine Institute Northwest is to provide highest quality healthcare.
To achieve this goal we monitor the procedures of interested by collecting surgical outcome data and compare it to current literature statistics.
This provides us with information as to where we stand and what areas we can focus on to improve our services and techniques. This also allows us to share the gathered data with the healthcare community and address the issues that stand in many areas, such as ambulatory surgery center quality control, minority healthcare topics, surgical epidemiology, emerging technology, and many others.

The outcomes research movement is transforming surgical care and the surgical community. Outcomes researchers help identify areas of concerns, where healthcare providers may apply their knowledge and experience to improve care and services in those areas.
Outcomes research allows not only providers to improve healthcare field but also delivers payers with vital information to make determination of medical necessity of the proposed procedure.

RESULTS OF RECENT STUDIES DONE AT THE SPINE INSTITUTE NORTHWEST ON ENDOSCOPICALLY ASSISTED LUMBAR DECOMPRESSIVE SURGERY:

Spine Surgery is inexact science and there is no promise of accuracy in diagnosis or success in treatment either stated or implied by our described minimally invasive techniques. No two patients are same and individual result might vary due to many factors inherent in the practice of medicine. Each patient is expected to weigh their options carefully and act freely.
