Kathleen Cowitz-Laski could no longer lift her leg nor get into a car without back pain – a big problem as she had a house cleaning business, and a few grand kids that needed attending to. “My leg felt like concrete and I couldn’t lift it,” Kathleen explains. Unfortunately, she couldn’t go to work to earn an income, or lift her grand kids without suffering.
No longer wanting to depend upon a walker, Kathleen decided to take an active approach to her back problem. Speaking with her chiropractor about her chronic back pain, he recommended that she see Dr. Kamson. “I enjoyed coming to the Spine Institute. I enjoyed Dr. Kamson and his little jokes…”
Kathleen underwent lumbar decompression surgery and was pleasantly surprised at how quickly she could walk again. “My sister and girlfriend couldn’t believe how soon I could get up and walk without any pain after recovery. They even brought my walker and I didn’t have to use it.”
Getting back surgery meant that Kathleen could do more of her daily activities, perform housework pain-free, and even enjoy playing with her grand kids again. She recommends that others seek treatment if they are experiencing chronic back pain. “I’ve already recommended three people so far, “she encourages.
